Cedar Lakes Estate has been on my list for many of seasons now. It was nearly a decade ago when I first saw images of this magical place and the magic has only amplified since then.

I am a firm believer of “things happen for a reason” and I also do my best to trust that things come to you when you’re ready for them (although I have admittedly wavered on that trust many times over). All this is to say, Mira + Ayman were my first at Cedar Lakes Estate and I am so very grateful that they were. Not only did they have the ladies from SociaLife Events to set the event off right, their free and easy approach to their entire weekend was the perfect compliment to the serene camplife backdrop.

In a way, this wedding is a kick-off point for me and what Jenelle Kappe Photography will be working towards in the future, an abridged edition (if you will) of what is to come. I wish I had a completed poetic proposal for you all, but I’m just not there yet - as, there are still ideals and logistics to work out in my head before I can officially announce on paper. Yet, the crux of it all is; for me to truly be there for the weekend, for the experience - not just the wedding day. It’s something I’ve been slowly working towards - as some of you know - I’ve include rehearsal dinner coverage within my collection for a few seasons now - but I want more. I want to be more, show more and give more.
